Say GoodbyeSummary: as Bolin dies, he sings Korra a confession.Say Goodbye by kaithelonechampion
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine ," he wheezed, smiling up at her.
" You make me happy when skies are grey,
You'll never know dear, how much I love you,
Please don't take my sunshine away ."
"Please, you have to save energy," Korra whispered to him, trying to heal the hole in his chest with the little water she had. Her vision was blurred by tears, but the image of Bolin's piercing emerald eyes was clear in her mind.
He'd decided to take on the Red Lotus to buy them time. Korra had only found out too late to stop him. She'd found him bleeding out, barely conscious. She cried his named, screeched it at the top of her lungs to get him to open his eyes; anything to keep him awake. He'd started singing, his breath rattled with the blood in his lungs, but Korra swore his voice was melodious.
Forgiveness"I'm sorry," he whispers from the door, his voice cracking.Forgiveness by kaithelonechampion
Tears are threatening to spill from his eyes. I should've been there, I should've been faster, I should've been able to help, he keeps saying to himself. She didn't hear him yet, at least, he doesn't, think so, but even if she did, she probably wouldn't have moved. The only light coming into the small room is from the window, and like his heart, the skies are overcast, giving the room an even more dismal atmosphere.
His hands curl and unfold with anxiety. He notices that his mouth is suddenly dry and his tongue feels too big for his mouth. He swallows hard, trying to push down his nervousness.
The two haven't really spoken in a few weeks. One-sided conversations here and there; he thinks it helps her to hear about normal life occurrences. He thinks it might distract her from all of the terrifying experiences she went through. He hears that she'll only speak sometimes, with Asami,
Dance LessonSummary: Bolin gives Korra a dance lessonDance Lesson by kaithelonechampion
"Come on, Kor, everybody knows how to dance," Bolin told her, that signature goofy grin of his plastered on his face.
"Well then, guess I'm not somebody," she replied, crossing her arms and pretending that her nails needed a great amount of inspection at the moment, waiting for his reaction.
He sighed and took her hand in his, his calloused fingers caressing hers. After a little while of comfortable silence, Bolin seemed to have an ‘Ah ah!’ moment, and all but ran to the radio that sat upon the small wooden table. He turned the nob, skipping several channels that either weren't playing music or were playing opera. Eventually he settled onto a station, and music flooded the room. The song itself wasn't terribly quick or slow, and sounded nice and relaxed. The woman sang about standing by the person they loved.
"Come on," Bolin called as he grabbed her
BittersweetBittersweetBittersweet by DupreeRose
Tenzin had heard someone say it was a "bittersweet occasion". Though he would never say it aloud he thought that was a load of bullshit. They had only just buried his grandfather two days before and now they were having a formal ceremony to name his uncle the new Chief of the Southern Water Tribe. His grandfather was gone and now they were taking away his only uncle. It didn't seem fair.
He sat alone at the head table and watched his parents slow dance. Not like they usually did; this was lifeless and sorrowful. Neither of them were in the mood to celebrate, but they put on a good show for those who didn't know better. His father's hands laid lightly in the small of his mother's back. His mother's arms wrapped around the elder air bender, clasped onto his shirt, underneath his cape.
Suyin broke Tenzin's concentration when she ran across the dance floor to his Uncle Sokka. The new chief bowed to the girl and said something as he offered his hand to her. She
The SecretThe SecretThe Secret by DupreeRose
“Can you keep a secret?” the girl asked as she pulled herself up on the limb her friend was sitting on.
“Don’t I always?” the bald boy answered with an eye roll as she plopped down unceremoniously between him and the trunk of the tree.
“You can’t ever, ever tell anyone.” Lin stressed poking the side of Tenzin’s head.
He swatted her hand away “I won’t.” he scowled “Do I ever?” she placed her hands on her hips and cocked her head at him “Okay, okay. One time. I panicked. And I apologized for that. I didn’t know girls were supposed to bleed from” he gestured at his crotch awkwardly “there. I thought you needed medical attention.”
Lin’s face balled at the fresh memory of Tenzin making her sit down before running across the hill only to come back dragging his sister by the hand and demanding that she heal Lin of her <i>
